DCAF and Aswat Nissa cooperate on the implementation of 1325 Resolution and gender mainstreaming in Security Sector Reform

Tunis, June 23 and 24, 2018: DCAF Tunisia and Aswat Nissa organized a two-day workshop, with women politicians drafting a policy brief for the implementation of 1325 Resolution and the mainstreaming of the gender approach in the Security Sector Reform.

 

The objectives of this workshop are:

 

 

  • Train the participants on the analysis of statistical data and enable them to translate them into structured arguments adapted to their different target audiences (policy brief).
  • Train participants on the use of the policy brief during their next advocacy work with decision-maker، within their political parties/ municipalities، for gender mainstreaming in SSR and for implementation of 1325 Resolution
  • Establish an action plan for advocacy by identifying the target actors.
  • At the end of this workshop, women politicians will undertake initiatives within their political parties and / or municipalities, in relation with the theme in question.

     

    This activity is funded through the DCAF Trust Fund for North Africa (TFNA). The Fund is financed by Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
