DCAF completes a training course on good governance of the defense sector and crisis communication at the École supérieure de guerre (ESG)

DCAF completes a training course on good governance of the defense sector and crisis communication at the École supérieure de guerre (ESG)

Tunis, 20th September 2016: Upon request from the ESG, DCAF’s representative – the retired Colonel Philippe Zahno from Switzerland – trained the audience on good governance of the defense sector and crisis communication.

He gave a presentation on crisis communication, addressing its key principles and the methods and preparation underpinning it. He stressed the importance of setting up a proactive communication strategy and thus presented two different case studies aiming at showcasing the relevant attributes of an effective crisis communication. DCAF plans to continue its work to support the ESG.

This training aims to “maintain communication and information sharing” in case of crisis. To that end, DCAF intends to continue its work with the ESG.

DCAF contribution in this workshop was financed through DCAF Trust Fund for North Africa (TFNA). The Fund is financed by Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Further information on DCAF is available on DCAF website or on DCAF Tunisia website
