The Tunisian National League of Police Women (LNTFP) and DCAF close a series of workshops aimed at building the capacity of this association
Tunis, December 20, 2016: In partnership with the Tunisian National League of Police Women, (LNTFP), and with the participation of the Vice-president of the Parliamentary Commission for Security and Defense, Ms. Leila Chettaoui, DCAF has organized three workshops between October and December 2016 aimed at strengthening the League’s capacity.
LNTFP was founded in 2015 by three women from the Tunisian national police. The association incorporates the gender dimension in its approach and underlines its importance in dealing with security issues. LNTFP also takes a position on many issues which bear directly on police women’s interests in Tunisia.
The meetings were facilitated by DCAF expert and Ms. Chettaoui and included discussions on creating an institutional development plan for the association. DCAF support to LNTFP is in line with its approach regarding “supporting change management for security service providers”.
DCAF contribution to the project is financed through DCAF Trust Fund for North Africa (TFNA). The fund is by Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland.
