Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) and DCAF organize a training session on internet-based research methods and the use of metadata to handle issues related to the good governance of the security sector
Tunis, 14-15 March 2017: DCAF organized a training session on internet-based research methods and the use of metadata related to the governance of the security sector for 15 journalists from the Tunisian news agency (TAP) and the national television and radio.
This training, including practical exercises, allowed journalists to:
- Improve their knowledge about the wide range of tools available on Internet for a better coverage of issues related to good governance issues of the security sector in general, and particularly in Tunisia;
- Familiarize with tools and techniques facilitating research, monitoring, checking and authentication of data available on internet and social networks.
The support provided by DCAF to the TAP is part of its efforts to provide communication support and enhance information sharing.
